This is a really good read. The central character feels very real, and someone I enjoyed spending time with. There's brilliant use of the Alpine setting, which has clearly been experienced first hand by the author. A lively set of characters, with dialogue that moves at a good pace. I enjoyed the nuances of the period setting. It's very well plotted, with unexpected events.
Ideal if you like murder mysteries, crime stories, thrillers and historical crime.
