Marcus Arnold has endured homelessness for over 16 years. Despite the immense challenges he faces, Marcus wrote this play with remarkable courage, offering a glimpse into the lives of the extraordinary individuals who inhabit this often hidden world.

Greg Benson works at a homeless day centre, where he first met Marcus. Greg recognised the play as something unique and eye-opening and offered his support in writing and producing it to help bring Marcus’s vision to the stage.

The Other Side is a window into a world lesser known, of ambiguous trust and fragile alliances. A world that can seem unfair, dark, and challenging, but with optimism and joy, wherever it can be taken. The figures in the play share the tales of their past and the complex challenges of the present in this unfiltered retelling of the lives of those who live amongst us, but often hidden in plain sight.
