Tracy Shand

Tracy Shand is the CEO of Simply Boarding, a practising boarding professional with an eye to the future. Her boarding career to date spans various positions from house tutor to deputy head working in both the UK and Asia. At all stages of her career, she bears two key values in mind – the importance of stepping into the other persons shoes and everyone is someone’s child. It is this focus, combined with specialist coaching training, which has allowed her to achieve amazing results both as an education professional and a qualified life coach .Her first move to Asia in 2009 was inspired by stepping into her boarders shoes was life changing and as such she returned on more than one occasion to be the driving force in starting up boarding in new international schools.

A thought leader in boarding education, her articles have been published in the Australian Boarding Schools Association Magazine – Lights Out and in New Zealand. She has led personal development sessions in China, New Zealand and Australia. In her spare time, she practises Tai Chi, Qigong, photography and continues travelling in her quest to matching the countries she has visited to her age.

In true paying forward style, all royalties from this book will be donated to charities that support young people in boarding schools.
