Otto looks to have a different outlook and approach to poetry so that people can have a laugh. He hopes that readers can see the humour, laugh at the poetry and that he will attract a bigger audience to poetry.
His anthology, ‘Wicked, Weird & Wonderful’ lives up to its name.
Otto, pushes the boundaries of lyric writing and poetry. His fans love it while others can find it strange, confusing and sometimes offensive.
In the UK, poetry for adults is often seen as the domain of intellectuals or romantics, and there are well-known conventions about taste, style etc by which such works are judge. Wicked, Weird & Wonderful just doesn’t fit into these conventions and their associated classifications.
Otto breaks the rules in so many ways, including repeated experimental use of odd spelling conventions, word phrases and repetitions. He also explores some sexual and social subjects that are no-go areas for some people.
If you like Otto’s music and lyrics this anthology is for you.
