More Info

This is the fourth book in The Dead Series.

Pippsy and Jack get involved in trouble again in spite of themselves. While on a visit to Pippsy’s mother the pair are asked to investigate some mysterious occurrences happening to the neighbours.

As usual, all is not as it first appears and before they know it Pippsy and Jack are in it up to their necks.

But who did what to whom, and why?

by Jenny Beirne on Dead Silence
An absorbing tale of sleuthing in the Suffolk countryside

This is the second of Katie Gray's books in the 'Dead' series that I have read.

I found it an absorbing tale of sleuthing in the Suffolk countryside. It features husband and wife private investigators Jack and Pippsy (their firm is wonderfully named Four Eyes Everywhere). The story is told by Pippsy, in a friendly, almost chatty style, the action taking place in the Suffolk retirement community where Pippsy's mother lives. Despite the cosy atmosphere, the plot unfolds with mystery, murder and dark secrets from the past, leading to an action-packed climax and a surprise twist as the story ends. A compelling read, with (refreshingly) not too much darkness and no sex!
